Itinerary

Day 1

Meet at our Jerusalem hotel for trip briefing and dinner.

Day 2

Depart Jerusalem and start cycling through the quiet street down to the Dead Sea, reaching Masada where we finish the ride at the foot of its ancient fortification.

Day 3

Have a morning excursion up to the fort of Masada and back by cable car. Today's ride is a mixture of easy and gradual uphill rides, starting by heading south on roads along the Dead Sea. Our overnight hotel is at a research station, famous for bird watching.

Day 4

Warm up with a 20-km ride before climbing out of the Arava Desert up the Scorpian's Ascent. Continue another stunning ride through the Makhtesh Gadol, one of five makhteshim in Israel and only seven in the world.

Day 5

More of uphill and downhill riding through the Negev Desert, then moving to the edge of the Makhtesh Ramon. The desert road takes us to Mitzpe Ramon.

Day 6

Today's ride gives us fantastic, diverse views of rock colours and forms. Before arriving at Kibbutz Detora, we do a descending ride out of the Negev Desert and back down to the Arava Valley.

Day 7

A short transfer to the ride’s start point, and once reaching the border crossing at Eilat, we continue cycling to our hotel in Aqaba, Jordan.

Day 8

Your free day to discover and relax at the Red Sea shore and in town. We can help with arranging tour activities.

Day 9

Transfer out to avoid busy road and kick off our ride at the entrance of Wadi Rum Desert, then follow on a quiet road and arrive at the Bedouin camp for lunch and check in to our camp.

Day 10

Ride north from Wadi Rum along a high plateau with views of the desert, before descending into the Jordan Rift Valley

Day 11

Off from your bike and walk to explore the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Petra. The morning part you'll be guided through ancient sites, and the first half of the afternoon is on your own to discover freely before transferring to Madaba.

Day 12

In the morning, visit Mt Nebo and the ruins of its ancient monastery, followed by a fantastic ride through the desert and down to the Dead Sea!

Day 13

A short ride on a flat road to Allenby Border Crossing and back to Jericho for lunch. We arrive in Jerusalem by a transfer and have a celebratory meal in the evening.
