If you have found your perfect tour and read the Booking Conditions, here's what you need to do to confirm your place.

From the tour page click the 'Book Now' link.

All departures for this tour will appear, just select the date you'd like to travel.

There is a minimum number of participants (usually 2) required to enable the trip to go ahead. Once the minimum number is reached, the trip status will change from 'Available' to 'Guaranteed to Depart'. Once a trip is guaranteed to run you are free to book your flights and make other travel arrangements.  If you are unsure about the trip status, please email us or call our office.

For the next steps you'll need to know the names of the people traveling and have either a Visa or a MasterCard. If you wish you can also provide extra details such as passport numbers, height, or you can add that later by logging into Manage My Trip (we'll set up an account for you automatically if you don't already have one). However, if you wish to get a children's discount, please do fill out the date of birth of the riders.

Booking Questions

Here are some common questions we receive about booking a SpiceRoads Tour:

Do I need to pay a deposit and how much?

Booking a SpiceRoads cycling adventure is easy and we try to do everything possible to make sure you have full flexibility and peace of mind. We do not require a deposit to hold your place on a tour and once full payment has been made your money is protected in our client account and you have the flexibility to cancel or change your booking if needed.

We also require that you take out travel insurance when you book your holiday. Besides covering you during your holiday it will also enable you to claim for any money that you have paid to us, including your deposit, should you have to cancel your trip.

I'm booking the tour last minute, do I get a discount?

There are no discounts applied to our tours for late bookings. If you are booking less than 30 days before departure we require full payment at the time of booking. We do occasionally offer promotions on select tours, please click here to see them.

How can I pay for my tour?

You can make payments either by credit/debit card -- Visa, MasterCard. The easiest way to pay is to visit the secure payments page, details of which will be sent to you when you book.

If you prefer not to pay by credit card, you can make an international transfer by CHAPS or SWIFT or a local transfer by ATM (there will be a 500 baht surcharge for local transfers).

Note: International transfer fees or charges may not be deducted from the amount listed on your invoice. These fees are an additional charge that the transferor is responsible for paying.

When will I have to pay the balance of the tour?

Full payment must be paid 60 days before the departure date with fees for any bicycle rental(s), single supplement(s) and extra hotel nights.

Our confirmation will include personal details you provided us (including your flight information), visa application advice, a packing suggestion list and a detailed tour itinerary. It will also include a checklist to ensure you get everything ready for your holiday.

Can I get a discount as a past customer?

For those who have been on several long tours with us we reward customer loyalty by offering repeat customers a special discount off the tour price (excludes single supplement and bike rental).

If this is your fourth scheduled tour or more you will receive a 5% discount.

If this is your eighth scheduled tour or more we will extend a 10% discount.

The discount will be reflected in your online booking, but please contact us if any questions.

Loyalty discounts can not be used in conjunction with any other offer.

Note: Only tours of 7 days or more will be applicable for loyalty discount.

When should I book my flight?

Once your tour is Guaranteed to Depart—check the trip status on this website or with our office—you can book your flight. We would only cancel a trip for an extreme circumstance, but in that case, where we cancel your trip, we cannot be liable for losses incurred relating to any flight booking you have made. Please claim any losses from your travel insurance that you acquired when you booked your holiday.

Do you sell travel insurance or what insurance agency do you recommend?

I got a new passport since I booked, do you need to know?

If any of the information given on your booking form should change, e.g. passport number or contact details, it is important that you advise us immediately. Most changes to your personal details can be done through your Manage My Trip

I decided not to bring my bike, can I hire one?

If you wish to add bike rental to your booking, please let us know through Manage My Trip. We will make the necessary arrangements and send you a revised account statement, due for payment no later than 45 days prior to departure.

Does bike rental include a helmet?

Yes it does, as we recommend helmets are worn at all times when riding and insist they are worn whilst riding downhill or off road.

I've been asked for my jersey size. How do I know what size jersey I need?

Can I change my departure date or switch to a different tour?

Yes, if you wish to transfer your booking to an alternative departure or tour more than 45 days prior to the departure, we will be happy to do so at no fee to you.

If the booked tour is less than 45 days from departure, then there may be some deduction of admin charges, however these will be at the discretion of the company and will depend on any non refundable costs incurred to date.

I paid for my tour, what's next?

We will send full joining instructions to you approximately 2 weeks prior to departure that has information on where and when to meet up with others in your group, including a contact number should you be delayed. It will include a summary of any additional services you have requested and will also provide a timely check-list to ensure you have everything in order for your SpiceRoads tour.
