Day 1

Transfer from downtown Chiang Mai to Bua Thong waterfall and start a ride on local roads to Mae Ngud Reservoir. Later ride to our overnight hotel and can finish off the day at the swimming pool.

Day 2

Visit Chiang Dao Caves and then ride through rice fields among soaring limestone cliffs before hitting dirt roads cut by local hill tribes -- the Akha, Lisu, Lau and Palaung peoples.

Day 3

This morning, we begin cycling from our hotel, following the Kok river before transferring at the end of the ride to our riverside resort.

Day 4

We hitch a ride on a long-tail boat (with our bikes) at a Lahu village down the river before cycling to the famous White Temple just outside Chiang Rai.

This was one of my all-time favorite travel experiences. I expected the views during the rides to be great but our guide, driver, the food, and the cultural experiences made it a truly top-notch trip.

I had high expectations for this trip and it exceeded every one of them. Ji, Mr. Egg, the food, and the bike course were all fantastic! If I did another bike ride through Thailand I would insist on doing it with Ji and Mr. Egg.

Just a memorable experience! So amazing words just can not describe! A perfect way to explore a country it's culture, nature and food. You will remember for a lifetime.

I took this tour with my parents in December 2019. Tony, our guide, was fantastic and so knowledgeable about life in the Thai countryside. We had an excellent selection of drinks and snacks throughout the trip, and our lunch stops were at really good quality Thai restaurants. The hotels were excellent too. Our bikes were perfectly maintained and the routes we took were interesting and definitely off the beaten track, and not too hilly either. I hope to travel with SpiceRoads again!!
