We cycle north out of Chiang Rai and, after around 37 km we turn west on an undulating road at the foot of Doi Mae Salong, a highland area of tea estates and wild jungle. Eventually, we descend into the Mae Kok River plains, concluding our journey at a peaceful riverside resort. |

We exit the Pa Pao Valley via a series of challenging climbs and fun descents through lush forests. Entering the next valley, Phrao, we cycle to the western edge of the Mae Ngat Reservoir. We take a boat ride across this beautiful lake, stopping along the way at a floating restaurant, and, once on the other side, cycle around 25 km to our resort in the jungles of Mae Ngat. |

| 5 (10 Nov 2026) | Mae Taeng Loop and School Visit Today we enjoy a lovely loop ride in the Mae Taeng region, cycling past the forest-clad hills of Sri Lanna National Park and the farm-studded river plains. Along the way we visit Wat Ban Den, a sprawling temple complex renowned for its large sculptures of creatures from northern Thai mythology. We will visit Ban Mae Taman School at the beginning of the ride as it is only 1 km from the hotel. |

Option A (Easier): We leave the mountains of Mae Taeng and cycle through the plains of Mae Rim before following the canal road straight into Chiang Mai City. Option B (Harder): We leave the mountains of Mae Taeng and cycle through the plains of Mae Rim before taking a detour into Chiang Mai via the famous Samoeng Loop. This is part of one of Chiang Mai’s most iconic road cycling routes, celebrated for its serene, winding roads flanked by lush jungle foliage. Both route options will visit Wat Rahm Perng School at the 30 km point. |
