About this Cycle Tour

Embark on a tropical road biking journey of islands, coasts, mountains, and boats. Taking the central Philippines region of Visayas as our cycling arena, we spend 12 days across four islands where we ride along Pacific shores, coil up and down lush hillsides, zip past historic churches, and unwind on sandy beaches. Still a hidden gem within the road cycling world, the Philippines is sure to surprise you with its smooth roads, beautiful scenery and fun-loving culture!

We meet in bustling Cebu City and take a boat to the neighboring island of Bohol. Here, we dart across coastal plains, climb into the rice-covered highlands of Sierra Bullones, visit the iconic Chocolate Hills and loop around the offshore island of Panglao. On day 5, we ferry from Bohol to Siquijor, a small yet beautiful island renowned for its natural charm and mysticism. We explore the island's bays and jungles and rest our legs at a fantastic beach resort. We then switch to the island of Negros where, over 4 days, we cycle through sugarcane fields, rugged hills, and the shores of the Sulu Sea. After cruising back to Cebu Island on day 10, our final ride takes us past stunningly blue waters and over the island’s farm-studded Central Cordillera. The tour ends with a night in Cebu City.

Join us and discover the charm of the central Philippines by road bike!

Itinerary

Day 1

Welcome to Cebu, the “Queen City of the South”! We will pick you up from Mactan International Airport and transfer you to our tour hotel in the city. In the evening we convene for a trip meeting and welcome dinner.

Day 2

We board a boat to Bohol Island and kick off our road cycling adventure. Our inaugural ride takes us across northern Bohol on flat roads surrounded by rice paddies, coconut palms and market communities. We spend the night at an ocean-facing resort on the shores of Anda.

Day 3

With our legs still fresh, today we tackle the tour’s toughest stage. It is also one of the most beautiful as we climb to the heights of the rice-terrace covered Sierra Bullones highlands, visit the world-famous Chocolate Hills, and roll down to the Loboc River.

Day 4

We begin with a ride along Bohol’s scenic southern coast and stop at Baclayon Church, one of the oldest coral stone Catholic churches in the Philippines. We then cross a bridge and circumnavigate nearly the entirety of Panglao Island before transferring to Tagbilaran where we spend the night.

Day 5

Today we cruise across the Bohol Sea to reach Siquijor, an island of natural beauty and mysticism. Once on the island, we enjoy a fabulous ride along the coast and through the hilly, jungle-clad interior. We spend two nights at an elegant beachfront resort.

Day 6

A rest day in Siquijor to relax by the beach or explore more of the island independently.

Day 7

We cruise from Siquijor to Negros, the fourth island of our tour! Our first ride here brings us over rugged mountains and into the central plains dominated by vast sugarcane plantations – the "Sugarbowl of the Philippines" – for a fast, flat ride through the fields to Kabankalan City.

Day 8

Heading back to the coast, today’s route introduces us to the Sulu Sea of western Negros. We ride past a panorama of tropical scenery - coconut groves, farmlands, villages, estuaries, mangrove forests, and untamed jungle line our path. In the afternoon we relax on a peaceful beachfront near Sipalay.

Day 9

Today we start from one laid-back beach and end at another along the western Negros coastline! After an early climb coming out of Sipalay, our route is predominantly flat as we follow the Negros South Road past rice fields and dreamy coastal vistas.

Day 10

Our final ride on Negros takes us past estuaries and the now familiar scenery of rice paddies, coconut groves, rocky headlands and maritime communities. After skirting Tambobo Bay we transfer to Dumaguete, a lively university town in south Negros, where we spend the night.

Day 11

We cruise across the Tanon Strait to southern Cebu. Here, blissful coastal riding takes us from one rugged headland to the next and we traverse Cebu from west to east, climbing up and down the Central Cordillera. A transfer brings us back to Cebu City where our farewell dinner awaits.

Day 12

Transfer to the airport for your onward flight or extend your stay in Cebu.
