Day 1

Pick up from the airport and transfer to the hotel.

Day 2

Transfer to Fort Portal and the foothills of the Rwenzori Mountains. After lunch we cycle through villages and farms.

Day 3

Cycle past several volcanic crater lakes and break for a picnic lunch. Transfer to safari-style camp for the night.

Day 4

Start the day off with a game drive in Queen Elizabeth National Park and end it with a boat safari to see animals at dusk.

Day 5

Cycle through the savanna of Queen Elizabeth National Park to our river lodge.

Day 6

Cycle from the dry savanna up to the rain forest. A challenging climb up to Buhoma at 1,500 m. Once there we take an afternoon walk to see some local projects.

Day 7

Cycling on the edge of Bwindi Impenetrable Forest we take single track trails and dirt roads through the rainforest.

Day 8

Today is off the bikes as we partake in the memorable experience of gorilla tracking with expert rangers. Today is all about being flexible as we observe these incredible creatures in their natural habitat.

Day 9

We continue our cycle through Bwindi Impenetrable Forest and if we are lucky we may catch a glimpse of gorillas. Once we come out to terraced fields we have a descent to Lake Bunyonyi where we will spend the night on an island.

Day 10

We start the day with a boat ride across Lake Bunyonyiand then it is an undulating day on red dirt roads to Lake Mutanda.

Day 11

Start cycle along the lake towards the Rwanda border on dirt tracks through villages and farms. Overnight in Musanze, at the base of Volcanoes National Park.

Day 12

We ride single track and dirt roads of the Congo Nile Trail today. The route is along Lake Kivu and we overnight at a lakeside resort.

Day 13

Our last day of cycling will be a challenging one with many off road climbs on the Congo Nile Trail.

Day 14

A morning 4 hour transfer to Rwand's capital of Kigali. We have an afternoon city tour before our celebratory farewell dinner.

Day 15

Please let us know your departure time so we can arrange your drop off at Kigali airport.
