Itinerary

Day 1

From Kuta or Legian we transfer to the foot of Mount Batu Karu for the start of our ride. It's a fun and easy day as we will cycling down past the stunning green Jatiluwih Rice Terraces and through small villages with just a few short climbs. We stop for a visit of the famous Tanah Lot Temple before arriving at our charming hotel on the beach.

Day 2

Today we cycle along quiet back roads downhill through local villages, rice paddy fields, fruit farms and amazing countryside terrain. Starting from the rim of Mount Batur we also visit some local temples to learn more about religion in Balinese culture. We finish the day riding to Ubud.

Day 3

Today we have a scenic ride through the area featured in the movie 'Eat, Pray, Love'. We then return to Ubud after lunch for an optional visit to the Monkey Forest Temple before an early afternoon transfer to your Kuta hotel or to the airport to catch your onward flight.

Reviews

Thoroughly enjoyed our bike trip! Saw fascinating places in Bali we would never have seen if not for the interesting routes. Food provided was also delicious. Finally our excellent guide Wayan and very attentive driver Ilham helped make this a truly memorable experience! Everything was terrific.

Loved the in-depth way of getting to know the local culture and see a lot of the way people live.

Our guide kept the vibe relaxed and allowed us all to go at our own pace. Always smiling, he took us through stunning scenery, a coffee co-op, a beautiful historic temple and more, informing us along the way. It was the perfect combination of activity, culture, nature and delicious food. A fantastic first impression of SpiceRoads tours!
