Mongolia Discovery

During these four days we cover every type of landscape of the Khan Khenty range - lush meadows, wooded hills, grassy river valleys and rugged mountains. We'll see nomadic life firsthand as we camp next to families and help out with their daily chores. On our last day we will step back in time to the 13th Century when we enter a live museum and leave modern life behind. This trip will be full of enjoyable surprises, and very likely someone will come across to greet you and offer a ride on their horse in exchange for a bike ride.

Day 1

Start riding from the gateway to the Khan Khenty National Park, a spectacular land of wooded mountains and granite formations, over a pass to the valley of the Terelj River. Camp near the ger of a nomadic family.

Day 2

Ride along the Tuul river to visit a 40 m silver statue of Genghis Khan before reaching our overnight camp on the banks of the Tuul river amongst willow trees.

Day 3

Bike to Janchivlan Hill and enjoy the freedom of cycling off road all day. Camp near a nomadic family and share a traditional dinner.

Day 4

Cycle to the 13th Century National Park, a live museum that requires visitors to leave behind any modern items upon entry and you can use a horse or camel to visit the ancient town. Transfer to Ulaanbaatar.
