  • Once on the bikes, we explore various farms in the region. Here, see the technique of rubber tree tapping and hand-rolling into sheets are still commonly used.
  • Phuket is renowned for its pineapples and you will see the plantations on your ride.
  • You take a break at the fisherman's restaurant to snack and fuel up then
  • Hop on a kayak and paddle your way through the lush mangroves, for a tranquil experience.
  • End our adventurous morning with a small trek to the gibbon rehabilitation center and take a short hike up a waterfall.

Highly recommended excursion into the beautiful Phuket countryside, through rubber and pineapple plantations. Level of difficulty was in line with Spiceroads’ definition of ‘Leisure’, with just a couple of steep hills (I just got off and pushed.) I loved the kayaking — great way to cool down after 20km on the bike.

The excellent guide, Nick Andaman, was extremely professional and knowledgeable and the bikes were in good condition. This was my second time with Spiceroads and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them. They also do a cycle and cookery tour in Phuket.

Thanks Nick! Great excursion.

I had a great experience here with my family. The scenery throughout the trip was very nice! Regarding the cycling track, there were some uphill paths that required more strength to complete, and a highway path (~3km) which may be a bit challenging and dangerous for younger children and amateurs. Canoeing was also a lot of fun, we got to go into the water path in between trees(check photo!!). There were times when we can take short breaks and have some drinks. We also got the chance to go to a waterfall after canoeing. Also, our guide Nick was very nice and friendly. We had a memorable trip and I'll definitely recommend this to you!!

If you need few hours away from the beach this is the right tour for you. You get to experience the local culture, get to see the Gibbon project and the waterfall. Kayking was also great fun. 25 kms full of adventure. Nikom was a very knowledgeable guide.
