GOLDEN TRIANGLE
Taking you into the heart of the countryside to areas usually missed by most visitors, this tour allows you to really see and feel what living in this part of Thailand is all about.

We start the trip from Chiang Rai and head immediately north to our hotel on the Mekong River. An afternoon ride will take you through the countryside and to the ancient river town of Chiang Saen. The next morning we visit the Opium Museum which documents the history of opium trade and how one of the most abundant crops in the area has now been replaced by legal produce thanks to various royal projects. On this second day of riding we follow the Mekong River towards Chiang Khong, taking in expansive views over the Mekong, the natural border that separates Thailand from Laos. Our final day we head west towards Chiang Rai, experiencing true Thai village life on the way. On the outskirts of Chiang Rai we’ll visit a unique temple before parting ways.
TRIP PROFILE
This tour is a mixture of wide, hard-packed dirt trails and smooth tarmac. The riding on day two is a little more challenging as we have some small climbs after lunch and a longer climb to get to the viewpoint – but the bus is always available if you would like to rest.
This tour is suitable for anyone and no real biking experience is required. It is also a great tour for families.
To turn a short trip into a real holiday, you can add on our Chiang Mai-Chiang Rai tour departing from Chiang Mai every Monday and receive a 5% discount on the total price.
