Political problems have ensured Myanmar has missed out on the economic booms experienced by some of its neighbours. Kipling's Mandalay and especially Rangoon retain a colonial charm; on arrival you will feel as if you have stepped through a time warp into last century.

The mountains of the Shan States and the wondrous Inle Lake make for dramatic biking scenery, while riding through the temples of Bagan at dawn is simply one of the greatest cycling experiences of all-time!
